Installing required packages for C compiler on Ubuntu 7.10

If you need to compile C, C++ programs under ubuntu or kubuntu, packages listed below will help you to compile.

apt-get install  libpqxx-dev

apt-get install  libstdc++6-42-doc

apt-get install  cpp-4.2

all packages: gcc, libpqxx-dev, libstdc++6-42-doc,cpp-4.2

  2. i tried many times to install packages , the terminal gave me this message “cannot find no package ” please help me

  3. This is good man,I ran into an iceberg while trying to install though.
    The command : apt-get install libstdc++6-42-doc is suppose to be writen as apt-get install libstdc++6-4.2-doc
